Pysanka Ukrainian Easter Egg.
Brown chicken egg. Pysanky uses a wax resist method. I use a copper funnel-like tool called a kiska. I heat wax in the funnel using a tea candle and draw the designs on the egg. Then I dip the egg in various colored dyes. In between each dye I add more wax. Thanks to Magiqumbrella [link] for telling me about the contest! |
